Finally, some movement in the rankings as major events in Austin, Cedar Falls, DFW, and Tulsa change our expectations.

Austin Regional champion Vandegrift rallied up to third place in this week's rankings, while silver medalist Leander shot up to sixth and bronze medalist Claudia Taylor slid up one spot to ninth. Many other Austin competitors also saw updated rankings based on the results, including Cedar Park finally pushing up out of the first out position and Lake Travis' premiere in the rankings at 26th. Rouse and Westwood earned spots in the Next 10.

Close results in Iowa caused Blue Springs to drop a few spots while Rosemount took a huge leap. Camdenton earned their first appearance on the rankings, while O'Fallon slipped to the Next 10.

Independent events in Bedford, Texas, and Owasso, Oklahoma, also played a role in this week's rankings. After placing third at the HEB Marching Contest, Waxahachie jumped out of the Next 10. In Owasso, Bixby earned another victory above Jenks and Union, closing the gap in rankings between those groups, and position Bixby to make a big leap when they compete at the St. Louis Super Regional in a few weeks.
