Marching Brackets, Round 3: Barber Region

This round of voting is now closed.

Welcome to the Barber Region of the 2016 HornRank Marching Brackets! You can read about how we seeded shows or vote in the Copland Region, the Shostakovich Region, and the Reich Region. The third round closes on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 11:59 P.M.

Championships at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. // Photo by Claire Albrecht

8 seed: Blue Springs 2015, Subliminal, 89.10, 10th at Grand Nationals
7 seed: Ronald Reagan 2015, Every(One), 92.35, 2nd at San Antonio
If you know anything about how tournament seeds work, you would know that the two lowest seeded shows probably shouldn't be the only two shows remaining in their region. However, that is exactly what happened in the Barber Region as Blue Springs 2015 takes on Ronald Reagan 2015. Blue Springs made their first ever Grand National finals appearance in 2015, and the show was one to remember, but Ronald Reagan beat multiple groups at San Antonio that would go on to beat Blue Springs at Grand Nats.

Make sure to also vote in the third round of the Copland Region, the Shostakovich Region, and the Reich Region.

  7. Why vote based on scores? Y'all should be voting for your bands or for the shows you honestly enjoyed more. Seriously, what's with all the hate "they scored higher WEEKS BEFORE" who cares?!?!

  21. Y'all are backing Blue Springs and not Greg White? He is a current director at Reagan and used to be a drum major at Round Rock.

  25. Wow that was close. As a Blue Springs member who performed at GN Finals for the first of any Missouri band I give my firm congradulations to the Reagan band. I'm not salty at all, just the fact our show was considered for this bracket was incredible. Honestly I don't think anyone lost, as long as people can appreciate the shows that were performed. I could care less about scores at competitions or making finals or not or even scoring higher in the early season, what matters is the experience share through the show. Congrats, Reagan, you killed it this year. See you in GN finals!
