  1. Where are the other good Tennessee bands. Father Ryan and Franklin have consistently attended and succeeded at BOA and state events. Father ryan made semis at Grand Nats in 2015, and Franklin has been a semi-finalist for the past 5 years, finshing as high as 13th.

  2. What about the really good Alabama bands. If you are going to include just top tier bands in the nation then include the top tier from every state, not just who you want to show.

    1. It's possible that Alabama schools aren't competitive on a national level. I've never heard of any successful bands in Alabama, and while I'm sure there are some great bands in your state, they might be nothing compared to the best in the nation. The best bands from my state are great, and 2 or 3 have made BOA nationals semi finals, but I know better than to expect any of them to be on this list.

    2. Well what if there are no top bands in the nation from every state if you look at BOA Grand National's only the TOP12 bands IN THE NATION get taken to finals not the TOP50 it wouldn't be as significant like for example before 2015 Missouri had no representation in the best in the nation but when my high school band the blue springs golden Regiment made finals for the first time in history that was the year that Missouri was put on the map and we just kept getting better and better and we made history again last year when we took 3RD PLACE AT BOA GRAND NATIONAL'S OVER BROKEN ARROW

  3. What about Berkner HS (TX)? They are one of the DFW Powerhouses and typically make state finals at UIL and have made finals at BOA Regionals and Super Regionals Before...

    1. Bands need to do a lot better than that to be one of the best bands in the nation. Hundreds of bands can make Super Regional Finals.
