The 2014 Louisville, Kentucky, Regional was held Sept. 20 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium at the University of Louisville. Fifteen bands competed from five different states, with Castle being named regional champion.
Analysis
This was one of the most intense first-week regionals ever. As you can see below, we wrongly predicted Center Grove as the champion, but we weren't completely wrong. Center Grove earned first place overall in the prelims competition before coming in third in finals. We're excited to see how all of these groups' shows evolve and improve, but especially Castle, Franklin, Center Grove, and Lockport who will be competing again at the Indianapolis Super Regional in just a few weeks. We're almost certain their placements won't be in the same order.
