About
The 2015 Dayton Regional was held Oct. 3 at Welcome Stadium. Although finals were cancelled because of inclement weather, Avon finished first and Carmel second, followed by a large point gap.

Analysis
While the 2014 edition featured headliner William Mason, this year’s lineup swapped one Grand National finalist for two other long time Grand National finalists and many other groups that perform on a national level.

As we predicted, Avon beat Carmel, but they did so by a margin that was slightly higher than we expected. We expected a very narrow victory with split captions, but Avon swept captions and finished 1.2 points (without penalties) ahead of Carmel.

Rounding out the top five was North Hardin, Centerville, and Paul Laurence Dunbar. North Hardin beating Centerville is pretty big news. Centerville is an incredible program with a long history and to beat them by two full points is a huge accomplishment, even this early in the season.

This was an incredibly competitive regional, and, if the finals competition had occurred, it would have rivaled the competition at many Texas regionals.
