The 2019 Bedford Regional will be held Oct. 5 at Pennington Field. In 2018, Flower Mound beat Hebron in prelims before finals were canceled due to inclement weather.
Marcus and Keller are the other intense pairing of this regional. Just last week at the HEB Marching Contest, they were separated by a single tenth of a point — an easy margin to make up in one week's time. LD Bell, who did not compete last weekend, will be looking to break into the ranks of these two programs and hold their spot in the top half of finals.
Waxahachie and Prosper, separated by just three tenths last week will be looking to push up closer to the top half of finals. These groups finished eighth and ninth last year. With Cedar Park not returning, their sights will be set on Timber Creek, last year's sixth place band in prelims.
Owasso and Paragould are the only out-of-state bands competing this weekend and could bring some surprises. Owasso has always had a lot of success at Texas regionals, making finals at regionals and super regionals alike. Keep an eye on Paragould to make a strong showing in class AA.

Brief Preview
This regional continues to be dominated by Lewisville ISD schools, with Flower Mound and Hebron once again the top names fighting for a champion title. Each has had their fair share of wins, but with Hebron headed to Grand Nationals this fall, an early win over Flower Mound could be a good sign. |
