The organization's marquee super regional and national championships will be held at the typical venues, with a slight change in the order. This year, Indianapolis will hold the first super regional, Oct. 20–21, followed by St. Louis Oct. 27–28, San Antonio Nov. 3–4, and the Grand National Championships Nov. 9–11. Holding St. Louis later in October could help attract a larger pool of participants, including some 6A Texas bands who might have an easier job making finals there versus San Antonio.
Despite no new events in Texas this year, the Lone Star state continues to be a huge focus for BOA. Returning events will be held in Austin (Sept. 23), McAllen (Sept. 30) Midland (Sept. 30), Shenandoah (Sept. 30), Bedford (Oct. 7), Katy (Oct. 7), Prosper (Oct. 14), Waco (Oct. 28) in addition to the previously mentioned San Antonio Super Regional (Nov. 3-4). With UIL considering holding the state contest for all classes this year, we'll be paying close attention to how that affects participation at BOA's San Antonio championship.

Outside of Texas, the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater will host a first-weekend regional on Sept. 16. Whitewater was the site of the first Grand National Championships in June 1976, and continued to host the relaunched Summer Nationals until 1989 after Grand Nationals was moved to November beginning in 1980.
A new Chattanooga Regional will be held Sept. 23 in southeastern Tennessee. Without a regional in Clarksville, Jacksonville, Power Springs, or Winston-Salem, this event should be able to draw a huge crowd from across the Southeast.
