The Cedar Park Band is a former Grand National finalist, a consistent regional and super regional finalist, and a recipient of the Sudler Shield.
In 2017, Cedar Park is expected to compete at the Austin Regional and San Antonio Super Regional.

In a few weeks, Cedar Park will head to San Antonio to compete at the Alamodome. Since it's a 5A state year, they'll take advantage of every run they get in the dome, and we expect they'll have two.

At Austin, Cedar Park earned fourth place overall, behind Leander and Vandegrift. The band remained behind those two Leander ISD schools at San Antonio, earning ninth place overall.
But the last week of the season brought some change in fortune to Cedar Park as the group surged to the top. The band concluded its season as the highest-placing Texas group at Grand Nats. The group earned fifth place overall.

At Austin, Cedar Park won the music caption and placed 2nd, just 0.05 points behind district-mate Leander. However, they won their class in prelims ahead of Leander.
A few weeks later, Cedar Park placed 5th overall, also winning their class in prelims. Unfortunately, their main class competitor Leander was unable to compete at San Antonio because of weather-related issues, but that doesn't overshadow Cedar Park's achievements.
