The LD Bell Band is a former Grand National champion, a consistent regional finalist, and a recipient of both the Sudler Flag and Sudler Shield.
In 2017, LD Bell is expected to compete at the Southlake Regional, Renegade Review, and San Antonio Super Regional.

At Plano, the group was off to a strong start to the season, earning fourth place in both prelims and finals. Most notable about that placement is Bell's continued excellence in visual performance. They earned second place in the visual caption directly behind Flower Mound both rounds.
At San Antonio, Bell gave an excellent performance, at least from our perspective photographing on the sideline, and the individual music and visual scores support that. The band earned seventh in individual music and sixth in individual visual. The judges in the box, however, were less impressed with Bell's performance. The group earned 16th place, only a quarter of a point out of finals.

At the Arlington Regional, Bell place fifth overall, right in the middle of the pack. They were unable to win any caption awards, but showed that they aren't just skipping San Antonio because Atlanta is an easier competition.
At the Atlanta Super Regional, Bell outperformed our expectations, placing second overall ahead of both Harrison and Dobyns-Bennett, but significantly behind first-place Tarpon Springs.
2014
LD Bell competed at the Denton Regional and San Antonio Super Regional.After a shocking ninth place finish at San Antonio, LD Bell only stepped up one place to eighth this year. Additionally, their fourth place finish at Denton continued the new LD Bell standard. We wish we could see the same level of performances that this group gave about a decade ago, but it looks like this has become the normal for this former national champion.
2013
LD Bell was 13th in prelims at Grand Nats. Imagine the shock that would spread over Lucas Oil Stadium if LD Bell had missed finals just six years after winning in 2007! There is obviously talent within that program, and they did have good seasons in 2012 and 2011, but after talking with some LD Bell parents and alumni, they seem to be anxious about the future of this program. We have faith that the Blue Raider band won't fall off the map and will continue to be a national power in the coming years...at least we hope so.
