In 2016, Mason will be competing at the Toledo Regional and the Grand National Championships.

We hope Mason will be able to continue their standards of excellence, despite the departure of former Band Director Robert Bass.

2015
Mason competed at the Bowling Green Regional and the Grand National Championships.

The Bowling Green regional included very little competition for Mason with their closest competitors being Plymouth-Canton and Goshen. Mason placed 1st with all caption awards and PCEP placed 2nd almost four full points behind Mason.

At Grand Nats, Mason continued their climb by one more placement, earning 4th place directly ahead of Carmel. If Mason continues this trajectory of improvement, they'll be earning in medal in 2016 and be national champion in 2018.

2014
Mason attended the Dayton Regional, the Atlanta Super Regional, and the Grand National Championships. William Mason had another tremendously successful year, placing 2nd at Atlanta and 5th in Grand Nats finals. If they keep moving up one spot in finals each year, that means they will be the Grand National Champion in 2018, but we think they can take home the eagle before then.

2013
We might be falling in love with the Mason Band. This group was on the bubble for finals after their shocking upset defeat at their own stadium to Centerville at the Ohio State Championships. Fast forward to Grand Nats, where #thatweddingband not only entered finals (10th in semis), but finished in the top half, placing 6th overall. Credit the Mason staff for consistently original, bizarre, and creative shows year after year. Mason has officially entered the talk as a national BOA superpower with their consistent finals placements and improvement. The only question is how well they will do this year with Broken Arrow and Tarpon returning?

  1. Why didn't William Mason come to a Super Regional this year?
