When the 2019 season wrapped up and Vandegrift received the highest ranking in our final poll of 2019, no one would have imagined that would have been the last BOA event for nearly 22 months. At long last, it is finally time for another season of marching band. Most years, our preseason rankings are no better than blindly throwing darts against a map. This year, it's even worse, since many of these bands haven't been seen on a competitive stage since 2019.
